MorningDay Community Solutions is a nonprofit whose sole purpose is to be of benefit to other nonprofits. They operate warehouses where member organizations can come and purchase various items at a HUGE discount!

MorningDay got its start in 2010 when business partners Greg Bales and Kasia Maslanka became aware of the enormous waste in the retail sector. Did you know that 90% of returned goods end up in landfills? They decided that all those goods could be put to use by nonprofits who work directly with people in need. So they partnered up with Good 360, another organization that donates goods, and got started!

Showering Love is very grateful to be one of the organizations that they help. We can go to one of their warehouses - one in Pompano, one in Boca Raton - and purchase whatever supplies we need - at a 70% discount! MorningDay Community Solutions once gave us a $500 grant and we were able to load up on underwear, shorts, t-shirts, hygiene supplies, shoes, and more. Our guests were thrilled!

What a holiday!
Who do they help? Besides Showering Love, there are over 450 member nonprofit organizations: veterans, at-risk youth, homeless, people in recovery, people with disabilities, teachers, faith organizations, and many more. And what do they provide? One school was able to acquire sports equipment, desks, chairs, televisions, monitors, toys, tools, and camping supplies. There was one elderly homeless veteran who, when he finally got housing, was able to get small appliances like a coffee pot and fan, pots and pans for his kitchen, and pillows, bath mats, and cleaning supplies. They carry such a wide variety of goods there!

More than 580,000 Americans experienced homelessness last year. Those are Showering Love’s guests. We have been able to provide over 30,000 of them with clean, new clothing - largely because of MorningDay Community Solutions.
