Help Us Provide Life-Saving Water to Our Community
Summer in South Florida isn’t just uncomfortable—it can be deadly, especially for people experiencing homelessness. NOAA has predicted an above-normal hurricane season this year, and with temperatures already soaring into dangerous extremes, the urgency to prepare has never been greater.
Imagine enduring a Florida summer with nowhere to escape the scorching temperatures or access clean, safe drinking water. For people without shelter, every day presents the severe risk of dehydration and heat-related illnesses, making hydration critical for survival.
In times of disaster, such as the historic 2023 flooding in Fort Lauderdale, Showering Love was called upon to provide critical relief to the community. We offered mobile showers and laundry services to those affected by the floods. Our ability to swiftly respond made a tangible difference for many families in distress.
Our mobile shower buses regularly provide crucial hygiene services and essentials to our unhoused neighbors, but our reach extends further during emergencies, ensuring the entire community receives vital care and support.
Why Water Matters Now More Than Ever
We provide water immediately to every shower guest upon arrival and ensure they leave with enough water to stay hydrated and safe throughout the day. To maintain this essential support and prepare for potential emergency responses, we urgently need your help stocking pallets of bottled water. Your contribution ensures that everyone we serve remains hydrated and healthy throughout these harsh summer months and equips us to respond effectively during crises.
